I need our PINK Bus -- tomorrow, 12/14 -- UPDATE ...

I am sorry to ask .. I have my very first colonoscopy tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. -- I realize you may be busy holiday shopping, working or preparing for Christmas -- just wanted to ask for some prayers.

I have been suffering for many years from consipation, so my new internal physician has scheduled a colonoscopy to get a sneak peak (LOL) of whats going on with me -- not enjoying my oral magnesium citrate jungle juice or my 2 day fast -- but, we do what we have to!

    I have had a total of 21
    I have had a total of 21 colonscopies in past 19 yrs...prep is worse then test...REALLY...I"ll ride along...with some of my experience..LOL

    are you full of crap?

    I will absolutely be ready to get on that bus with you, hold your hand, and provide whatever comfort you desire. As I recall, you often bring apple tinis when you get on the bus. Shall I skip the brownies and go right to the hard stuff?

    It's true, Vicki Sam, the prep is the worst part. And it's just all so undignified! Let's bring lots of good food for VS after her procedure because she'll be hungry. I'll also bring along a lot of good mojo.

    Prep is the worst. It's one of the worst things we do (well maybe not) and it's the worst part of the process. Once you get there, you get to take a nap and when you awaken, it's all finished and they'll be telling you there's nothing wrong.

    I will be waiting on the pink bus with champagne (both regular and non-alcohol) and chocolate covered strawberries for the celebration after.

    Vicky – Ditto! I’ve been having constipation issues as well, for a long time, but never had a colonoscopy (i'm 33). I take Metamucil every morning and it has improved. But I can’t eat certain foods anymore.

    Wishing you well for this test, may you receive nothing but great news. Amen to that!

    I know you are brave and ready for your close-up~ and it will be over and you will be home resting before you know it!

    I will be on the pink bus bright & early tomorrow morning! Good luck! As everyone has said, the prep is the worst.

    I always treat myself to a blizzard from Dairy Queen afterwards! Let us know how everything goes!

    I think you are very brave VickiSam for having one. May tomorrow breeze by for you.

    Never had one, told my primary doc that trouble usually finds me. I don't need to seek it out. Until there is a reason, I will let braver women go where they must go.

    Hope it really will be as easy as some say it will be.

    In the short term, the prep may help with the constipation! Like everyone said, the prep is the worst part. The staff is usually pretty good about making it easier to tolerate.
