I just don't remember last year

It's so strange. I really dont remember much about the holidays last year. At Thanksgiving I was post op iliostomy reversal by 2ish weeks. My daughter helped with cooking, but we had a big dinner.I don't even know who if anyone was here. All I know is I made the best stuffing EVER. Even I remember that and it's almost the only thing I remember because my daughter Tara remimded me of it today. The rest of Thanksgiving a year ago is gone except from the pictures I look at.

Christmas....I remember getting so many cards :)I don't remember gifts I recieved or gave (except some pretty necklaces for my girls). Other than that, all I remember is my daughter cooked the entire meal, I invited my older kids Father(we have been divorced for 20 years) who is basically all alone. He said it was the best Christmas he has ever had. :) And I remember sitting and napping a lot. Tara would come ask me a question about cooking once in a while. I had my second FOLFOX 3 days before Christmas and it hit me hard. ....OH! I put up my own Christmas lights a couple of weeks before Christmas last year! I was SOO sore from climbing the ladder! lol I had my chemo pump on when I did it. I'm stubborn if I can be :) Don't tell me I can't climb a ladder with a chemo pump on....lol.

Other than those few memories....their just not there. But I know my kids were so happy I was there. And we will do it again this year! Only this time....I will remember :)

Love you all, Gail

Of course you are going to climb a ladder with your chemo pump! LOL
I'm impressed that you accomplished so much at such a difficult time. Hug your daughter for me and tell her how wonderful she really is for doing all the cooking. God bless her little heart for being so sweet and thoughtful. May this CHRISTMAS be full of wonderful memories for you and your family. :)
