Subject: Sad News

It is with great sadness that I make this post on behalf of my Mother, Linda Procopio. She passed away today after her long fight with Uterine Cancer. The Cancer Survivors Network Community provided Mom with wonderful support and my family is eternally grateful to you.

Mom was blessed to be surrounded by our family as she passed and knew how loved she was in this life.

Our family will keep each and every one of you in our prayers.

    very very sad
    i am speachless and sad. Linda was an amazing lady and she had impact on so many of us. I so wanted to see her making little longer and be around her family that she loved and cared for so much. RIP Linda. My prayers with her family.

    I will miss Linda.
    She was always an inspiration and a bright beacon of hope. I will miss her. God bless her family in this difficult time.

    I am so very sad to read this. God bless you Linds..I wil never forget your kindness and spririt. You are loved by all. You always had kind words and had much knowledge and helped us in so mamy ways,,more than I could think of. Rest dear linds...we will never ever forget you...val

    I believe if Linda could say something to you wonderful ladies from heaven above it would be something like this

    An exceptional lady
    I am shedding tears too. When I first joined these boards, Linda's posts were the first ones that I read. She was so positive and strong, and I knew instantly that I had found the right place to share my fears, my joys and my journey through this dreadful illness.

    Linda was a true example of heroism and courage. We meet very few people like Linda in a lifetime - she will be greatly missed. I am comforted that she was surrounded by family and friends in her last days and managed to "live large" until near the end.

    My thoughts and prayers are with those she left behind. May they take some comfort from knowing that so many people held Linda in their hearts and will do so, always.

    This just doesn't seem real. Dear Linda, you have been such an inspiration, your spirit and strength have touched us all. I had so hoped that your body would continue through the holidays to share with the family that you so love, and who deeply love you. May they find the strength to get through this. I know that the person you ARE will be their strength in the coming days, weeks and months. My heart literally hurts this morning.

    He has beckoned you to His loving arms. You are now healed, Linda, for which I am thankful. We will miss you.

    So thoughtful of them to let us know right away!!

    I will miss my sister Linda. I'm glad that she is no longer suffering. She leaves a rich legacy for all of us.

    Your Teal Sisters will have you in their hearts forever Linda. You will be thought about often for all your inspiration, wit, knowledge and friendship. There have been so many lives that you have touched through your life with such grace. Linda I will miss you more than you could know. You are now in a place with no more pain and worry and you are healed form this horrible cancer. I can only hope that through your teaching I can live and die with such grace. I will always remember you Linda, lots of love to your family as they are dealing with their loss. Love Sharon

    Linda helped me in ways that she never knew. I pray for peace for her family. I will miss her words more than I can say. I am relieved that she was able to be with her family and have the comfort of that. I will miss you dear Linda.

    Not gone, just gone ahead
    I'm stunned...really thought there were some good weeks left for our dear Linda. I am deeply saddened, yet also so grateful that I was able to "know" and learn from such a beautiful woman-- a treasure on every level. The following is a link to a 13 year old musician playing the full version of "Taps." It is so very lovely and lilting and reminds me that the end of form is not the end of life. A precious soul has simply returned home.

    for posting this. I am deeply saddened by Linda's passing. she was a bright star, a true inspiration to so many. She loved life, she lived large. Her legacy will always be here. Her support, enthusiasm,research and dedication were priceless. She described things in such rich detail... I can just picture her wonderful perennial gardens, the beautiful xmas traditions she had with her grandchildren...It might sound silly to say you love someone you've never met in person.. only thru cyber space. But I loved Linda. She made me a better person.

    Linda was so generous to share her precious time with us right to the end. I will always think of her sweet smile when I remember her. I am sorry for her family and friends , they have suffered a tremendous loss.
