One Step Closer to Surgery

My husband and I met with the onc. today. He is in agreement with surgeon that HIPEC is next best treatment option. Concern is with getting the spot on the liver at the same time but he said it would be a game day decision. I asked about possible colostomy and he called surgeon and reported back that surgeon believes tumor is high enough that he will be able to rebook without the colostomy. While I realize that cure is still a long, long shot, it is now a shot. On top of that husband got no chemo today and after six months of every other week chemo, the thought of a break prior to surgery is a joyous one. Although the mountain in front of us is steep, I feel like there might be some carefree days on the other side. I long for a day without worry. Lisa
