update on Kenny, Kim Priest's Dad

So sorry to add to all the sad news we have been experiencing on this board, but I got a Caring Bridge message this am and the doctors have told Kim's Dad, Kenny Heburn, that the ulcerated area in his esophagus, the new one from surgery, is probably cancer and that he has about 6 months more or less left. He said, "That sucks." And that is how all of us feel about everyone getting bad news and having bad outcomes. For me, it hits close to home. Kenny was operated on 12/7/09 and I was the next day, 12/8/09. We both were staged the same Stage III and had very similar operations etc. So if all would remember Kenny and his very loving family in their thoughts and prayers, they would so appreciate it. Kenny wants to go home and you certainly can't blame him. So they will all need support and prayers to go thru the real going home process. take care and thanks again,

    So sad to read about Kenny.
    So sad to read about Kenny. My best wishes are with him and his family.
    My husband, Alan had his IL op on March 8th 2010 and reading about recurrences does hit home. We know it can happen and all pray it won't, that's why when it does we know the devastation felt and no-one can make it go away.
