What to do on days you feel like Crap

Work-up this morning and sure wish I would have stayed sleeping because I feel so bad. No energy to get up or do anything but just stay in bed and waste this beautiful sunshiny day away.

I did manage to go outside and sit in the sunshine for a while, the weather is about 65 degree and the Sun was at it peek. But even that could not pull me out of my crappie pore little me feeling. Oh well a few more pain pills and back to bed, maybe I will wake up and all this will just have ben a bad dream.

    3rd crappy day
I have felt the same way for the last three days. Thought I had flu friday, yesterday had no energy and chilled, today now a cold, sore throat, harder time swallowing if that is possible, bad head ache's. Sunny here to and mid 60's.
If you wake up and is a bad dream send me a wake up.

    Crab & Crappie ~ sac-au-lait
When I feel like crab, I always think low-boil...

Some potatoes, pieces of corn on the cob, fresh smoked sausage (boudin for you), some blue crab, shrimp or mud bugs, of course Old Bay....and since you mentioned crappie also, you can throw in a little sac-au-lait too...I'll drink the Corona while the cookin is a fixin.....unless it's early, then we can partake in a little of that c.oon-azz chicory coffee...

    Good Eats my friend...

    Best,
    John

PS, oh did you mention crap...well now you probably feel better after the above read, don't you...

As Justin Wilson would say...wooooeeee, that's some gooood stuff.....

    Man that sounds good
I'd have to cut the corn off the cob, though.

    I'm with you brother
I am currently planning on crappy days. To handle this, I set aside different day activities for myself. Crappy= cut back expectations and do paperwork. Good= long list of things to accomplish.

I had a good day today. Day three post Carbo/Taxotere. Don't know why it didn't make me sick this time, but it didn't. So the paperwork didn't get done:)

Hondo, I think you did all you could - if sitting outside in the sunshine doesn't help, you are indeed bad off. Can you get to some good TV shows? Buffy always gives me a lift, but you can also go to Hulu and watch Highlander (a good reminder that living forever is not so great) or Angel (who wants to be a vampire anyway?)

I just moved my herbs indoors - I had planted lots this year and our deck was full of green, green, green, for Doug to sit out and enjoy (we are over-run by deer, so our garden must be on our deck). I will miss sitting out there with them (but they are safely in front of a window in the basement, where they thrived last year).

Or you can download songs from Avenue Q ("It sucks to be you. . ."). Sometimes life just stinks and you need to wallow in it.

    Feel better, friend.

Ha ha thanks for the laugh JC

My wife went to O Charley’s and got me the Fish & Chips platter but by the time she got home with it, it was cold. So she heated it up and gave it to me one piece at a time so it would not get cold while I was trying to eat it. What can I say I am just so lucky to have a caregiver like her.

    Feelings
Just got up a little while ago; just can’t get rid of this low blow down in the dump feeling. And now that the Sun is gone and it is dark and cold or cold to me that is, I think I will just go back to bed and hope the morning brings a hold new outlook on things.

    Thanks

Sorry to hear we are in the same boat again feeling like this but I will keep you in mind on the wake-up call

I just started taking some new antibiotic and think that it may be that making me feel so bad. Yesterday was a half way day to day is in the dump, I can only wonder what tomorrow will bring.

    Hi DrMary
I am into the Highlander stuff just glad this life is not forever. Also like Mortal Combat, I was in the second take of that movie at the scene when the Chinese boat came to the dock to pick up everyone. I was on the Boat on Dry-dock but you can’t see me.

O well so much for my movie days.

Hi, Hondo. I'm truly sorry you are feeling so crappy. Here's hoping and praying that tomorrow and many more tomorrows will be much better. You have been through far worse than this. Be well.

    Hi Roger
I know you know the feeling and yes you are right this is nothing compared to being in treatment. I know tomorrow will be a better day with all the prayers from my friends here.

    Thanks I needed that

    Heeeere we are
born to be kings; we're the princes of the universe!

My son has been working his way through the series lately. He's not happy - he claims Duncan does not use his kitana correctly.

So, if you've embraced the Highlander series, you know that Duncan had to accept the fact that he defeated Ahriman by accepting both his light and dark side.

Our bad days come to remind us how wonderful the good days are. I do hope you get to enjoy a good day tomorrow.

A hot guy with a sword, and possibly a kilt, and a really hot accent, picks me up. Loved that show.

    of the clan Macleod
Best fantasy on TV in the last 20 years, IMHO. It slowly went downhill after Richie and Duncan's girl (real name Vandernoot) left. The last three or four, uncovering the Watchers conspiracy, were even worse. But most of them, with Roger Daltry, and the oldest immortal circa Egypt, had some excellent writing and ideas.

    Rainbow
Wow I feel so much better today and don’t know why, I woke up at 3am and could not go back to sleep. More then likely because of all the sleep I had yesterday during the day time. Anyway I am just glad today is like seeing a Rainbow in the sky and remembering that there is a God who loves us.

I pray and hope we all have a better day today and praying that Roger & John wake up feeling the Rainbow as well.
