Good Report Today

Mother met with her oc today with good news! The petscan showed NO evidence of cancer in esphagus and her abdomen!! BUT there is still a lymphnode around the area of the collarbone , the area she first seen the knot. So now she starts radation mon - 5 days a week , 5 weeks followed by 1 more chemo i think. The doc said you have alot of people praying for you! The doc was estatic and usally showes no emotions. He went straight to the radation doc with the news. They are not going to put a feeding tube in and are going to rely on heavy iv's and her drinking plenty . Also the doc said we may have prolonged your life from a year to years!! Just spreading the good news.

It's about time that we had some good news to celebrate here! Thank you for bringing the rays of good news back to the board, Jason.

Blessings on your mom! She's got to feel good about today's report. As I'm certain you do as well.

We are very happy for you! The prayers won't stop here, though!

    GREAT NEWS!!
    Jason,
This is what I would certainly wish for your mom; GREAT NEWS!!
I am SO glad to hear that the chemo is working and the tumors have shrunk so successfully!! That's GREAT news and we all need all the good news we can get here of late on the board. Thanks for sharing this!

I also have a node behind my collar bone that they cannot get to with radiation or even a LNA without DRILLING into my collarbone. OUCH! I opted to trust that since ALL the others tested positive for EC I will trust them that it is too! :)

We will continue to pray for her continued success and a long long longevity for Mom, and that you have a great report at next visit.

With love, good humor, and God's blessing to you both,
    Eric
