thank you Johnny, pepe, judy, lizzy.....and all

My scan of liver and lungs seems to be clear. I attribute this enormous gift as purely the luck of the draw....every time I get news i swear i will change my ways....i will eat a vegetarian diet, I will never have a glass of wine, I will start running....and then I never so.....just another plain old cancer gal.

this does give me more strength and more will to support others here....

sending love to all

maggie

You are an Inspiration to all
    Maggie,
We are so happy for you. Please do continue to be here for all of us. You provide such hope and inspiration. Glad that you shared you try to do those prevention techniques exercise and diet but sometimes fall short of expectations. Enjoying life with a glass of wine and experiencing nature in your cabin may be the key to your success. That wonderful feeling of being one with nature works wonders for the soul and makes one feel close to God.
Prayers for your continued good health.

    thank you outdoors
I do believe you are right....living at the cabin is almost completely in the arms of nature...the water, the wind....the weather....the critters.....they are all right there....not separated by a big brick house...

one form of exercise that I love is yoga....i will go to a class tonight....the more I practise yoga the more I get from it...

also this fall I have started some ladies weight training at the Y to hopefully add some core and upper body strength....

yes 7 years of living with cancer.....hard to believe....for those on chemo I really cannot recommend a little walking enough...hard to face it sometimes but I think walking if you are able really helps

    hugs to all

So happy to hear your results. I've just had so much on my plate lately, I sometimes forget to wish all my friends good health. Also love to go to our cabin. It's not nearly as rustic as yours, but it's still a "getaway" from some of our problems.

    Take Care,

    Luv,

    thank you
ahhh thank you one and all. I find the euphoria after a clear scan quite amazing....of course it does not last for long....but that initial rush is great.

Pete I hope you have a great weekend retreat....i would love to do something like that....i think a meditation/yoga weekend would be soooo good.

Every good scan we have here is balanced by someone else getting a bad one. I don't know how we all keep keeping on but it appears we do....clinging to one another ...in the face of the beast at no matter which stage.....

love to all....leaves are fallin here pete....winter comin on..hahah

thanks mags, i hope you get a chance to do one
the leaves falling, thats a beautiful and powerful and simple image.
from now on when i see a leaf falling i will think of being grateful for health or clear scans.

its 5 weekends all added together in a row this retreat. i think the 10 days will be restful for the body but challenging for the spirit. at least i hope so. the gawler foundation gave me a generous bursary, i paid alot for our budget, but i appreciated their kindness. so i will turn up being grateful from the start.

why does the euphoria have to fade? i am not sure it does. the joy of life is all around me. as i type this reply on the kitchen table, the family is asleep and its peaceful here, the sunning rise is glinsening on the bay we live on. this view is filtered by lace curtains and my kids big wooden rocking horse.

    hugs,
    pete
