Let me set the stage for you. on June 4th my CA 125 was at 2,000 On june 21st I had my sugery. On August 18 I got my first copy of the blood work completed on the tuseday before the 18th and my CA 125 was at 67, I was over joyed to say the least. Today I got the results of the CA 125 that was taken last tuesday I was hopping for a drop I thought it would be around 45 but to my suprise and her comes the OMG it was 14. The nurses and doctor rejoiced with me and the doctor said I am doing soooo great and that it look like I am heading into remission not bad for stage four.

    steph,

    steph,

June 4th I was just were you are scared and not sure what is going to happen. I had been sick for three months and had been to urgent care four times and my pcp one time and they thought it was just bronchitis so they gave me medication. On June 4th at 2:30am I looked at my mom and said "screw this I am going to the ER". When I got there the doctor on call said you don't need to be here you should just go to your doctor. She then said they would do a cat scan just to make sure. That cat scan changed my life. I did a lot of crying and being very scared until I found this site. Please us this site for support I have found it to be a life line. You will be in my prays as you fight this beast and you will win. You sound just like mea few months ago and still sometimes even now. I have been through four rounds of chemo and still have seven to go. I had to have my surgery right away or I would not have made it my lungs kept filling up so my GYN/ONC went a head and did the surgery and I started chemo right after that so it has been a fast hard ride I have been on but we all are on the same road. I will add you to my friends list and we can email through this site is you ever need to talk we can be each others support. Just remember the ladies on this site or great and show so much grace in the fight please lean on them for support

    Steph....
    I'm confused.

    Steph....

I'm confused. Stage 4 generally means the cancer has spread to distant organs. Are you sure your doctor said stage 4? If your tumors are all contained within the ovary, that's a very GOOD sign.

Where are you being treated? There are some doctors who are more aggressive than others, when it comes to surgery, and I think I would look for one, or at least talk to him/her.

I have been in remission for almost 2 years and I had multiple tumors, from my pelvic organs to my bowel. Don't give up. Never give up.
