keeping you up to date.

Hello, letting you know how things are going for my husband, he has had his 3rd chemo, avastin, oxaliplatin and xeloda tabs at home, doing very well, and the ascites as yet has not returned. After the last chemo we thing the onc will want a scan doing to see how the chemo is working, what the future holds we do not know, as onc said chemo will control but not cure. Just taking each day at the moment. Please keep me informed of all your stories. Belinda.

    Chemo for Peritoneum Cancer
Hi: That's good news indeed! My latest MRI scan (last week) after 7 treatments of oxaliplatin/irenotecan/5FU has shown some improvement - no new cancerous nodules, some have shrunk, and one may have disappeared. My oncologist is ecstatic and is recommending me yet again for the surgery to remove the peritoneum (I was turned down earlier this year - it is done only in Calgary in Canada).
