I am also happy to have found this forum. Hopefully I won't sound too ignorant on the subject of prostate cancer and will be able to find some very useful information. Thanks in advance.
My husband is 82 years old, recently diagnosed with Gleason score 9 and clinical T3. Recent bone scan/CT scan were negative (thank goodness).
Urologist states no surgery. Firmagon injections for 2 months prior to radiation (every day for 6 to 8 weeks).
Is this a sort of standard at this point?
I guess this is our only hope of getting this awful cancer under control.
