Today is a long day for us. Rads at 9am, home, then Erbatox at 1:30. Jim has been doing great since Friday. First time in months that he only take a nap then is up till bedtime. I know the long day will exhaust him. I just pray he recovers quickly.

Daughter and grandson in from Spokane so that is helping with his energy. They leave Sunday so pray he has more good days with them.

Blessings
Debbie

    Hi Debbie

Glad to hear Jim is doing well, as you know the good and bad days are all part of the treatment. I find that keeping positive does help bring on more of the good day then bad, so the daughter and grandson should help.

    Keeping you both in prayer

Thoughts and prayers coming your way....

Energy...thought I was having energy problems until this last few days, LOL.

We had some relatives in from up north, they father and son wanted to go fishing. So I took them out on Thursday, hot as it can be...by noon they were cooked and time to go in. Saturday the father was game again, son wasn't...made it to 11:30 that day.

    My daughter and grandaughter
My daughter and grandaughter were just in from Maryland, enjoyed the company and made going to my first chemo treatment easier, my granddaughter who is six took it all instride..she wants me to take pictures when I loose my hair..she was also able to look around the chemo treatment room. She seems to understand it all like a child should.

Jim a and I both miss the
Jim a and I both miss the fishing. Jim loves to surf fish. He wanted to teach our grandson to surf fish but obviously could not. He lent him a pole and told him how to fish the surf. Our youngest granddaughter wanted to fish too so our grandson bought her a pole and they both went. They did not catch anything but wanted to try again and it gave them a lot of joy. Can't wait till they can go with Jim.

    blues, whitting, sharks
Jim loves catching Spinner Sharks just for the fun of it. He had a Spinner Shark drag his new rod and reel out in the water last year. He lunged for it three times before grabbing it in chest deep water. He fought it and it jumped three times before cutting the line. Since then he fishes for them for the fun of it. He loves fishing for snook in Sanibel. In the late 1980's he caught a five footer there. I myself do not like to surf fish or wade fish. Give me a boat or dock. We fish the Intercoastal, mostly the Mosquitto Lagoon area for Reds and Trout.

Jim took me fishing for our first date. It was early January, cold and spitting snow. We were on a fresh water lake in the Deland area. We were hauling in Bream one after another and I did not want to leave. Jim said he knew he had met the right woman. We have had many adventures fishing and camping over the years. We are looking forward to making more fishing memories too.

    Sebastian Inlet
I use to drive to Sebastian from Lakeland quite a bit for Snook and Reds from the Jetty.... They have huge Southern Flounder there after the first cold spells in the year also, late October, early November....

Not much Snook fishing going on these last few years with the cold spells and then shutting them down for harvest also.

I had a blast catching a few small spinners up at Anclote last year....

Yep, sounds like Jim found himself a keeper....

    Best,
    John
