"Today is a Good Day to Have a Great Day!"

Yesterday someone posted about having a great day I'm hoping that today is another great day. So many times we focus on the bad days, and its so great to celebrate these good normal days in our lives. One of our dear friends was dying from cancer but he saw fit to come to a gettogether we were having. Sort of a retreat week. We were down somewhat because of learning about his condition and he was one of our favorite speakers. On this day he was there to cheer us up and he finished his comments with the following: "Today is a good day to have a great day." He went home and died 4 days later. I thought if this man could say that 4 days before he died, I should be able to say that every day that I'm living. Try saying this every morning when you wake up. It works!

    Thanks
Thanks for sharing. I'm sad to hear about your the loss of your friend, but glad he was able share his uplifting thoughts. It reminds me of what my dad says to me all the time" -"Every day you wake up is a good day". I might not think it's a good day, but I'm alive and that's reason enough to make it a good day!

    Happy Day & Hugs,

    Today is a great day!
I went to church, then did laundry (it was breezy enough to de-wrinkle the clothes), grocery shopping and other errands. Finished the day with a hike with my husband and grand daughter!
What more could a person ask for?
