Bad news and needed prayer

in Colorectal Cancer #1
i am new to this site and already it has become a very important part of my day. i have been through colorectal cancer. I have been telling my doc for months about the pain in my stomach and side. the tumor markers were indicating that there was some sort of a problem. the doc kept attributing the pain to adhesions. i finally got her attention last friday. i got her to see me early and i could not stop throwing up. she sent me to the emergency room where they tested me. they did a ct scan and finally a sonogram on my liver and gallbladder. for 2 years i have been told i had a very small gallstone and to ignore it. i had a ct scan in February which showed it again and they said once again that it was a small gallstone. well the ct scan showed a very LARGE gallstone so they did a sonogram and found out it was not a gallstone at all but a tumor. now they are afraid that my cancer has metastized in my liver and gallbladded. now the docs are running in circles as they want to get it out as fast as possible. now location of surgery has changed to the big cancer center and the surgeon specialty is liver and pancreatic cancer. i am just asking for everyones prayers. i am not afraid of dying but i worry about my husband. this has been hard on him as he has had to deal with my intractable epilepsy since we got married. he has the patience of a saint and has really put up with a lot from me. i have spent most of my life in the hospital and my prognosis just with the epilepsy is negative. well enough whining. all of you are in my prayers too. god bless and hang on as this ride can be a rough one. barb

    As I read your story, I felt those fearful hours when first diagnosed and facing surgery. I was fortunate to have many prayer warriors.     Hi Barb,

    I'm sorry to hear about the tumor and your upcoming surgery. Bless you, it always thrills my heart to hear of those who put God #1 in their lives. I'm praying for you right now. Just because the cancer has metastasized to the liver and/or gallbladder does not neccesarily mean you aren't going to make it! I have had numerous tumors in my lungs and liver for several years now. I am still fighting, but am still here and I daily thank God for every day He gives me and, yes, I am still praying for a miracle & will pray for the same for you too.

    This is a hard road. You are lucky to have a great husband, and he is lucky to have you...

    You have my best thoughts with you. Please don't
    lose faith with the possibility of your body being
    able to heal itelf; it can do things like that!

    Don't be afraid to think "outside of the box",
    there is much to be had by doing so!

    So very gald that you have found us. Cancer is hard enough to deal with, but having doctors who don't listen makes it even more so.

    I want to say thank you to all of you for your responses
    Guy and I want to thank all of you for your responses. I have never met such caring folks. Yesterday was my boo hoo day and after reading all of these, it is my WAHOO day.     thank you for the prayers and hugs. just reading all of the comments have made me feel so much better. thank you marianne for your offer of help. the prayers and hugs mean the world to both guy and i. giant hugs back to all. now i am just waiting for the call from the doc for surgery date.
