Today HAS to be better....

Whew! Up early here...I am hoping today is a "feel much better" kinda day! Took the upped dosage of the clinical trial chemo last Thursday...Started feeling bad on Sunday...Monday worse....yesterday it was the hit by a truck, truck backed up and ran over me again! So today HAS to be better! Also met with my previous radiation oncologist to see if radiation was going to be a "have to" situation to shrink the clavicle tumor to relieve the occluded blood vessel and if a stent was going to be needed....radiation would immediately eliminate me from the clinical trial...and I had already made up my mind "no stent" unless he felt this was life threatening...His opinion, which I highly value, was.. it's not life threatening at this time...no stent unless symptoms such as the arm and hand swelling or facial swelling would present again...it hasn't, and he feels the chemo will take care of it by shrinking the tumor....he also said this particular drug could very well be " the game changer, that it is cutting edge" ..well we loved hearing that! I will have another CAT scan on Aug. 1 to see if the drug is doing it's thing....

So...today will be a better day....and I hope it's a better day for all of you, too....
