in Ovarian Cancer #1
Okay girls i need you to cross your fingers for me I can't cross my own because of the arthritis. Tomorrow I am going for a biopsy of an arotic lymph node which may or may not be cancerous and if it is it may be fallopian tube in origin or renal cell.
I am mostly disappointed that after one year of treatment.there is no break. not a monthy
not a week not a day
This is not the worst news I will ever get but it has stopped me as I was hoping for a year or six month remissiion. Not to be, worse things are bound to occur but I am disappointed ,I think it puts me in a different catogory .
Anyway I will let you know how it goes tomorrrow

    I did it
    I was terrified of the biopsy and to anyone who needs one in the future it was not that bad. I did ask them to crank up the meds because I was so afraid, I doubt that they did but I have been sleepy the rest of today.
    I won't get the results til sometime next week pretty much we have to see which cancer it is from before deciding how to treat it. My gyn/onc said it might be radiation or more chemo if it is fallopian tube cancer, But I am wondering why they couldn't remove it surgically. I will find out more next week.
    But right now I am feeling good and will take it one day at a time. thanks for listening.

    Wishing you well
    One of the girls in my support group had the radiation procedure..I believe she had six rounds but made it through just fine although a little tired. Her node was too close to a major organ for surgical removal so she talked to the radiation specialist and then brought her concerns and options to share with our support group as well as how her family felt. It's always good to be able to get those perspectives, but know that your decision that you are comfortable with will help you heal and tolerate the procedure better. Keeping you in thought and prayer..

    She is great and I trust her to do whatever she thinks is best, that is a good feeling having complete faith in your dr.
    Today is beautiful and I am going to spend it with my favorite people, my grandaughters,it doesn't get much better than this : )
