Love that kitty face so much! :)
    Hi Susie,

I am starting radiation in August. But I am planning to visit Montreal for a long weekend, and see the circus. That's all about I am doing this summer. This journey took a lot of time from me, but trying to enjoy as much as possible.

    What about you?

I know I should change my kitty face since he has a Christmas hat on, and, it is summer, but, I really like it too. LOL

Good luck with rads in August. Be sure and let us know when you start, so, we can give you any tips that we know.

Montreal and the circus? Wow, that sounds like fun! Hope you aren't scared of clowns. LOL I have a girlfriend that is terrified of them.

My hubby and I are going to the Gulf in early Fall. We rented a house on the Gulf and can't wait to go. I love the sun, sand and seafood! The 3 S's! LOL

This is a different circus. It's the Cirque Du Soleil - http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/home.aspx#/en/home/americas/canada.aspx

I have never seen it and always wanted to. No clown - YAY! ;)

Your plans sound like fun too! Sounds like we have the 3S's in common. I hope you enjoy yourself when you are there.

Yes, I will def. let everyone know when I start radiation. My simulation is scheduled for July 21 - pending.

    Summer...
    Hi Susie.

I'm doing RADs and Lymphedema treatments all summer :( and my hubby doesn't have any time off during the summer either this year :(

My kids on the other hand are having a great summer! They're going to spend next week at a summer day camp. The last week of July they're going to a summer horse ranch camp for a week (a treat from the grandparents) and then the grandparents are taking our eldest (she's 10) on the trip of a lifetime for three and half weeks to Europe. They'll spend 4 days in Paris, then fly to Copenhagen where they'll get on a cruise ship and sail to destinations in Norway, The Farrow Islands, Iceland, Scottland, Ireland and England, From Aug. 11 to Sept. 2.

I can hardly believe that it's mid-July already. Wow, only seven and half weeks and the kids are back to school!

between surgery (just done) and radiation (coming up)
we plan to go on a short trip somewhere, yet to be determined! Maybe to visit a friend in Ohio, maybe a scenic place in West Virginia....

Just had a weekend in Busch Gardens and Labor Day weekend we have a booking for Virginia Beach. We also have/had a week booking at our time share for the Poconos in August, but due to radiation schedule it may end up being just a weekend, not a week.

Going to see my son in Aug for about a week. He lives in Virginia and has had two children since I had last been there. We will go to Chuck E Cheese's to celbrate the kids birthdays since I tend to celebrate in person more often than just sending a card. Nobody's actual birthday but we will celebrate those that we were not together for.

Continuing also to act as though I do not have cancer as much as possible. In this way I feel like I am telling the cancer that I intend to live and "kiss my grits". I am doing everything I did before, just much slower.

I am taking a week's vacation to the Outer Banks in NC for a week with my family. It's our annual summer vacation, but missed it last year when I was diagnosed. We all can't wait to get back there.

    I just got home
from Boston, Plymouth and Cape Cod. While there, the urologist called and I have yet another infection!! :( No news yet on the CT scan.

But we had a fabulous, relaxing time, ate what I wanted, and didn't gain any weight!
If you are ever in Plymouth, check out Cupcake Charlie's.

Went whale watching, and took a harbor brunch cruise. Watched the tree leaves blow in the breeze, and the water and boats everywhere. Rejuvenating to me.

Best part, being with my daughter for a bit.
