Surgery is over!

in Breast Cancer #1
Yesterday i had my surgery to correct my fallen boob...im so glad i dont have to throw it over my shoulder to keep me from tripping over it anymore...LOL!
The surgery went well but i was in the recovery room for about 4 hours waiting for them to control my pain...i was pretty out of it but when your in pain like that you seem to remember it. After they got it under control i remember nothing until i woke up this morning with a drug hangover...ouchy! I went to see my doc this morning cuz she was really concerned about the pain yesterday and i couldnt stop vomiting in her office so they gave me a shot and it seemed to do the trick. This surgery was suppose to be a simple one compared to my other ones and this one got a little rough. ((????))
Well now im doin alot better, i took myself off the hard pain killers to a lighter one and i havent vomited since they gave me the shot...so im doin much better now. I still havent seen my girls to see if they are even now cuz of all the gadgets and bandages surrounding them...im sure you all know how that is. But soon when im not so high i will take a peek! Keepin my fingers crossed that this surgery was worth it!

    Sorry for the rough ride. No procedure is easy for me anymore, all drugs have side effects. Every time when my doc says, it is an easy one, or nobody have those side effects my answer is:I know, but I did and we laugh...I am sure your doc was shocked when you vomited on her office, very sorry that you have had difficult time
    I am wishing you to like what you are going to see after taking stuff off and be pleased with results of your surgery.

    Thanks new flower im hoping i like what i see too...and i vomited in her office 3 times before i finally got out of there...lol...it was horrible but now i can laugh about it!

    Glad you have that over and done with ! My recon boob kept falling towards my underarm so I had it reinforced several months back, so far so good! Gentle hugs and wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery and a boob that stays put!

    Meds do funny things to me too, especially general anesthesia.

    Glad that is behind you, and now it's fingers and toes crossed hoping for a good outcome,

    Jo Jo, that is great news. I hope that in the not too distant future, your unveiling will prove to exceed your expectations and soon the memories of this last surgery will disappear. Glad you are home and now feeling better.

    Only you can make us laugh about a fallen boob and throwing up in the doctors office three times. I don't know if I could have dealt with that but you make it sound like a slapstick comedy skit. Bless your heart for what you have been through and you don't let it get you down.

    fallen ta-ta, shoulder issue, vein issues with your legs -- nice to get 1 of those pesky issue addressed and hopefully taken care of.

    I'm happy (as I'm sure YOU are too) to hear the surgery is over. I hope and pray your healing and recovery goes smoothly.
