Question for long term survivors with a single occurrance of OVCA

I know there are a number of you on this board who are two or three or more years out from the end of their treatment. I am curious as to what your CA-125 did a year or more out from the end of your treatment. Did it rise a bit, or stay rock solid where it was at the end of chemo? Mine was <1 at the end of chemo, and stayed between that and 2 for a little over a year. Over the last few months, it has crept up to 4. I am guessing that it is unlikely my level could stay abnormally low forever, but just wonder if this is simply a rectification or something less desireable. Thanks!

    I was diagnosed 3C in 2006. My Ca-125s stayed about 6-9 for about 3 1/2 years before they slowly started to creep up and I had my recurrance. I agree that your body might just be leveling off to your normal.

    At the end of my treatment
    At the end of my treatment back in 2006, my CA125 was a 3. It fluctuated between a 4 and 6 for the longest time. Then in Dec of 2010 it was an 8. Doc said nothing to worry about. Then the following month (I had this one done to ease my mind) it was 302. So after almost 5 yrs in remission, it came back. My ca125 was 32 July 8th. Had another chemo treatment just today. Won't know until Monday the results of this last blood test.

    4 is a good number
    my Doctor told me anything > than 10 is normal...val

    I like my number...
    that I have now. But it sounds like it is the norm that it slowly climbs, then turns into a recurrance. Yuck.
    Rosemarie, where was that photo taken?

    no recurrance for you. It will go back down you will see, As long as you feel well that is what counts...val
