CANCER-FREE But New Problem

Options
CT-Scan, Brain MRI, Vocal Cord Biopsy all came out clean. I had radiation last July/August for vocal cord cancer. Voice is a challenge; but I can swallow. All in all, the throat portion of my treatment is coming along fine.

HOWEVER:

I have a new neurological problem. My visual fields "jump" in both eyes; and this is linked to my heart beat. I've seen an ophthalmologist and she said that there is nothing wrong with my eyes. So that leaves the brain. I have an appointment with neurology.

Anyone have visual field problems following radiation? I don't think my symptoms are related; just asking. Rick.

    Hi Rick
Congratulation on the clean CT, and yes I also have problems in both eyes and also very hi blood pressure all side affects of radiation. I have to take a medicine called Diamox to help it, everything is now back to as normal as it can be.

    Take care

    L'hermittes?
I had some weird visual stuff that was connected to L'hermitte's Syndrome. It came on at the same time and then went away a couple weeks later. The L'hermitte's still happens once in awhile. I wonder if your visual stuff is related?

    Thank you for your advice
Thank you for your advice and input. I'll keep your suggestions in mind as a visit an opthalmalogist and neurologist in the coming weeks. My symptom is progressing, in that it affects both eyes now. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer and consequently I am starting to get headaches. The headaches are relieved if a close my eyes (and listen to music) for twenty minutes.

I will post any results I get about my condition. Rick.
