I just started navelbine on June 3rd. I am not looking forward to any side affects. Anyone out there had any experience with this drug? I have Stage 4 NSCLC and looking for something that will slam this beast into remission.

Hi my name is Joe, i have stage 1b nsclc. I had surgery to removed my left upper lobe. it was followed by 16 weeks of vinorelbine(navalbine or navy beans). I also had cisplatin every 4th week. Biggest side effect for me and navelbine is neuropathy in my hands and feet. There is no pain associated with it, it feels like numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. Like they are asleep. This continues since my chemo was finished 4 weeks ago, not sure when and if it will leave. I have my one month appt tomorrow with my oncologist and I am going to ask him if it will eventually go away. I will keep you informed.

Thanhs for your response, Joe. I have stg 4 nsclc, I have only had 2 treatments and then I got sick. If the second opinion that I will be getting soon does not prove beneficial to me, I will do hospice. I'm am so tired of this...
