Hi, On Wednesday my diagnostic mammogram findings were a clustered coarse heterogeneous and fine plemorphic calcifications. There is also a second cluster of fine, linear, branching calcifications, both in approximately the same area of my right breat. Calcifications measure 15mm. My ultrasound demonstrated a simple cyst. The pattern was anechoic echo pattern. My Birad rating is a 4c. My biopsy is Friday. I am extremely worried. Has anyone had these types of calcifications with a benign biopsy result? Any support that I can get will be appreciated

    Hi Kate.
In general, the women on this site were already diagnosed with bc. Check out breast cancer.org. They have a thread for women with your type of concerns. Wish I could be of more help. Hugs.

Getting the biopsy is the right thing to do. Yes, women do have these types of biopsies with benign results. Keep in mind that only 1 in 4 biopsies is actually cancer. Calcifications are normal for a lot of women but always a good idea to be proactive in breast health. I would tell you not to worry till you have to but I know that is nearly impossible. Good luck on friday.

This is a sight for women with cancer though, keep that in mind for any one you know that may need to be here.
