    Hi Meena
I am ready to make my big move. I am thinking a week or two and I am out
of here. I would love to do it this weekend... who KNOWS. My new home and
new life are waiting for me and I can't wait to get started.
Is this the kind of good news you were looking for?

Meena, what is going on? Don't hold back with us, you don't always have
to be strong for us. Let us be strong for you. We love and cherish you very
much on this board. Please keep posting.

    Love,
    Ayse

Oh my dear meena. I hate that youre having so many ups and downs. It truly breaks my heart, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
On a positive, but non cancer issue. My son graduated top 3 of his class, and is the youngest staff sargeant. He's in the Air Force. He's 22. Been in since he was 17. Disquinished Honors. He got first in fitness. Hope my "bragging" mom story helps. Think we all need to post nice things about our kids or friends. Good news does help sometimes.
What is your lastest setback? Prayers and positive thoughts to you. Hugggssss, Katz

    Sweet Meena...
Ayse has already said it all beautifully. She's absolutely correct. Yes, you are an amazing inspiration for all! Yet - we know you are, and have been, enduring an awfully difficult time. It's OK to lean on us, so that we can help to hold you up, support you.

Some good news, I have another granddaughter, she was born 1/27 and was christened last weekend. When I started on these boards I had 2 grandkids and now I have 4.

Meena you are always in my thoughts and prayers and you have a special place in my heart, because I love the Philadelphia area, both of my sons were born at Riddle Hospital, and now they have children,. Please stay in contact with us pinks, we worry about you.

    Cyber hugs to you Meena!
I know you're tired of all the "blah, blah" stuff. I wish it would go away! We always want to know how you are and what's going on. We support one another a thousand percent.

A positive and inspiring story - I went to church today and the pastor shared a really neat story. At the Church's dowtown location, the folks from our church (pastor & wife, the band and some others) got together and had dinner at a restaurant that is slated to close soon. In chatting with the waitress inquiring about the closure, she expressed her sadness and fear at the fact that she would soon be out of a job. Stuggling to make ends meet and behind on her rent, she was uncertain of her future. Well, little did she know that everyone at that table dug deep in their pockets (and these are NOT rich folks) and tipped her over 800 dollars! She couldn't contain tears of utter joy!

I hope that put a smile on your face sweet Sister.

    Love and hugs,

    Sylvia

Hi Meena, Tonight my daughter graduated from high school. She was valedictorian and family came from California, Washington, Texas and Nevada to help celebrate. It has been great to have family here in the middle of Idaho. And friends! We had a big party this afternoon and now she (and my husband as a chaperone) are at an all night party at a local hot springs. So many of life's passages are bittersweet. I can't believe she is 18 and going off to college. xoxoxox Lynn

    Hi Meena,
You do know that we are all on this roller coaster ride together, right? Ups and downs. We love you and make sure you keep us posted as to what's going on.

On a happy note my youngest son was married on April 30th. It was a wonderful wedding. They honeymooned in St. Lucia and loved it!

My dear sweet granddaughter, Isabella Grace, was 8 months old this week. She is doing great. Remember, she was 7 weeks early and only weighed 3 lb. 7 oz. It is great being a Grandmother! I know your children are younger, and you have step-grandchildren, but just look forward to the day when your daughter becomes a Mom.

    xoxo,
    Jean

OK, here is my happy news:

Our daughter graduated Friday with an MMS in Physician's Associate (PA). It has been a long and bumpy road, but she did it. Yay! That is her photo.

I seem to be doing well healthwise. Will see my doctor next month, but am feeling good.

Danny and I are headed to Seattle from New Orleans in August via Amtrak. We splurged and we're staying in a nice sleeper car for the whole trip. We are staying at Glacier National Park for part of the trip and then will end by visiting my sister in Seattle. It will be Danny's 60th birthday and I wanted to do something special.

Meena, we are all with you and praying for you. Don't doubt it! We love you and just want you to know we are with you.

So angry that you're not doing well, but I feel honored that you came here to ask for positive stories.

I'm participating in a clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of weekend meditation retreats on blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels in breast cancer patients. What I have to do is attend a weekend meditation retreat in the mountains, be fed, housed, and trained in meditation. Oh, I have to let them measure my blood pressure, heart rate, and stress tests before and after. Tough assignment! I'll be doing this the end of July and am really looking forward to it.

Thank you for asking us to help.

I have been suffering from chronic fatigue due
to my dense chemo dose -- plus my 8 major surgeries in 13 months. Happiness is being able to walk 6 miles per week -- PLUS, going to the gym with all the other folks and germs to working out 30 to 45 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week. Now that's Progress in my book! Never could of accomplished this 6 months ago. :-)

Strength, Courage and Hope for you!

    Meena...
Even though it may feel like it, you are not alone......I hope you can " feel " the love, caring and support from all of us...and hopefully that is of some small comfort to you. We care!

We attended our grandson's first Holy Communion yesterday...he's 8. This is done in the Catholic church at this age and second grade.....It was a very moving experience to watch all these precious children take their first communion....all the little boys in ties and sport coats and the little girls in their white dresses and veils....When my one granddaughter made her's 3 years ago, she wore the veil that my daughter, her mother, wore, 30 years ago...

I'm sending prayers and best wishes to you.....I care..
    Hugs, Nancy
Ps...Vicki is putting me to shame....lol you go Vicki! Proud of you!

    Collecting already for the homeless!
Meena! I have already started collecting coats, gloves, scarves, any clothing to give to the homeless shelters and to any homeless person I see on the street. Last year I had gotten so many from so many wonderful people that everyone got several of each.

There aren't any around here local, but, I take them to the "big" city and distribute them. I have so many friends that help me, that it makes it really fun. Ofcourse, my hubby is always along, just to keep an eye on us.

I have gotten so much personal satisfaction from this, knowing that I am helping others.

    Just planting flowers here
But they are beautiful! Hubby retires this year, so I'm trying to be more practical - more perennials, less annuals. (& avoiding QVC!)

Anyway, last year we planted a moonflower ( an annual). I had never heard of it, but we gave it a try. Oh my! How beautiful it looked in the moonlight! We had up to 14 blossoms at one time. It only blooms at night and the flowers are closed during the day. I bought 4 this year and can't wait to see the flowers. I will let you know when it does.

    Dear Meena
    Hi Meena,
It is nice to hear from you. I have been thinking of you and checking on your posts everyday.
I am so glad that many of my pink sisters are having really good news and accomplishments. I agree with Very inspiring and uplifting stories.Congratulations to all!!

This week marks 3 years of my cancer survivorship. Being absolutely clueless about oncology I had my first breast surgery, lumpectomy on May16, 2008. Several days later based on pathology report I was officially diagnosed with this disease. Despite many agley twists and five more surgeries I am with NED for 2 years now! !!
