So, I am 4 weeks post-chemo and my hair is growing. Yay! But it is coming in super soft and totally gray. How long until I can safely color it and have any of you heard from others that it's a good idea to trim down the "baby hair" to make it grow back the texture it once was?

    Hi Bonnie
Mine came in totally salt and pepper and very, very curly! It's been awhile for me, but I'm sure I colored it after several months. No, I didn't trim it back to get the old texture back....it was much thicker and curlier than what I had before. But hair is hair!!!!

    Your picture is lovely!

I'm 4+ months post chemo and my hair is growing very slowly. It is soft but not as curly as I expected. I had slightly curly hair prior to dx. It's definitely gray/white/dark which I'm not used to since I had colored it for more than 20 years. I plan on asking onc when I see him in June as to when is safe for coloring.
