John T. Nimmons III, 37, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 12th, after a three year battle with cancer. John was a graduate of South Florence High School and went on to attend the US Naval Academy. He was the owner of Spanky's Inc. of Spartanburg. John's greatest accomplishment was his four year old son, Oscar Nimmons, and loving wife, Malee. He is the son of Morris and Allison Andrews of Florence. He is survived by his four sisters, Sandy Nimmons, Carla Collins, Kathy Hutchinson, and Heather Weaver; three brothers, Mickey Nimmons, Ashley Nim-mons and Herbie Andrews. To all who knew him, John was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. A memorial service will be held at Ridgecrest Baptist Church Thursday April 14th at 7pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Spartanburg Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

    John...
He was so kind to me when I joined the list. And when I became one of the small statistics who lost their hair completely with 5FU, he shaved his head in support. I will never forget his many kindnesses. Rest peacefully John. You gave a good fight.

So sorry to hear of his passing. He gave so much of himself to find a cure. May God be with him and his family. He will be missed.
