Walks

I'm not going to be able to go to LA for the Revlon Walk 05/07 because our anniversary is 05/08 and I probably should be here and my husband doesn't walk across the street, let alone 5K. I really wanted to do the Revlon since it's for all women's cancers, not just breast cancer and I have this bias since I had both breast and endometrial cancers.

BUT I do plan on doing the Susan Koman walk in Sacramento on 05/07 (same day). Anyone else from northern California planning on doing that?

My BFF is coming to do the Susan Koman walk with me (we were going to do the Revlon walk initially). She mentioned there is a brain cancer walk in SF (her daughter died from brain cancer) and how about if we check that out. I did and it's also May 7!

Don't you think it would be a good idea if these events in California didn't all fall on the same day? I'd actually like to do each of them - they're all close enough to be able to. Can't do them all if they're all on the same day!

Maybe they just think the rain and wind will be done by then...I'm pretty sick of it. Did you have any trouble with hail or tornadoes yesterday?

I'm doing the ACS Relay for Life on April 9/10, at Natomas High School in Sacramento. I have received so much support from ACS (mostly here) that I really want to give back to the organization that helped me. You would be very welcome to join us!

Rain~rain go away!!! I am a tad concerned because I will be driving to our luncheon on Saturday and I don't drive much out of town let alone out of town in the rain! Anyway, I am hoping it lets up for our meeting, sure looking forward to seeing each of you and spending a bit of time just visiting!

Linda, I'm very interested in the Relay. Natomas is so close. How do you find out about these things, anyway? Will talk to you more about it on Saturday.

Re, Saturday's rain isn't supposed to be as bad. We currently have lakefront property! Our back yard backs up to a holding pond. It's full. No tornadoes in Woodland.
