I began the posting as Tommorrow is the day. However it is after midnight so today is the day of my lumpectomy. It will happen in the afternoon. I am at peace with this decsion and it probably has a lot to do with the prayers you have been saying for me from the beginning of my journey. So thank you for praying as it has put my mind at rest.

    GENTLE HUGS
You will continue to be in my prayers, please post when you are able. A little tip passed on from my mom to my sister then to me is that it is nice to have a small soft pillow to place on between the lumpectomy and your side to give cushion, it just allow a bit more comfort. My best to you!

    It wasn't bad
My lumpectomies were not bad at all but I am used to it since I've had tumors for over 40 years.

Best of luck to you.Hope your surgery goes well and like all of us you will be home later today.I did pretty good.I hate taking pain meds so waited it out.I've had worse pain in my life than lumpectomies.

Hope you get some good results from your biopsy. Not sure you had a needle biopsy first but I did.So I knew ahead of time it was cancer but didn't know how what type etc. I was lucky it was non invasive and Stage 0.

    Best wishes for you today!!!!!

    surgery results
    Ladies and Gents,
I have written a story on my blog about the surgery. The story will give you more detail. I will need to wait for the pathology reports on the lymph nodes. The darned dye in the nuclear medicine and in the operating room would not be taken up by the nodes so they had to remove them all. So I have a drain device under my arm as a result. I was in the hospital overnight. I have to go back to see the surgeon in a week and then he will determine how long I will be off work. We originally thought I would be able to go back to work that night but of course so goes the best laid plans of mice and women.
