I know I don't post a discussion often, I participate in responding more to all your great posts you ladies give. But, I wanted to share my day with you all about this conference.
This was my second year in attendance~I come away with such wonderful encouragement and information. They begin with a breakfast, then have 4 sessions of classes to attend, each session has about 6-8 different subjects to choose from. Everything from Nutrition to Genetics. Since there is a large community of breast cancer survivors in the puget sound area they actually had 3 consistent sessions just for "us". Speaking on Lymphedema, Genetics, Survivorship and long term effects of Cancer treatments, and ending with an open forum for questions with a panel of "experts". Also, they serve you a great lunch, mucho snacks and beverages along the way, and an area of exhibitors that overflow you with freebies galore! I mean, I came away with a beautiful soft cotton scarf, books, pens...lots of pens and memo pads, and tons of info. Great exhibits on bra selections, lymphedema sleeves, exersize classes (pardon my bad spelling). I feel so empowered when I leave. They have a keynote speaker at the end of the conference, and all this is free!! Sponsored by local hospitals, diagnostic imaging places...all the businesses that serve our cancer needs locally. I wanted to share what a great day it was, and how encouraged i am to get on the treadmill, do my yoga and cardio...and eat good, take my supplements...etc.
I hope you will be encouraged too!
Blessings~
Melanie

    It sounds like
it was a fun experience and that you also learned a lot. I think the more information we can get the better off we will be. I will also be one to encourage you to get on the treadmill, do yoga and cardio and take your supplements. I do yoga, the treadmill and water aerobics (which I love). Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
