in Breast Cancer #1
Thursday i go in for more tests to see if i have cancer again....scary thought!
Some of you might remember not long ago i was talking about being allergic to the tamoxifen and one of the side effects was these gross dark brown veiny looking things on my lower legs. Well they started blistering and wont heal and they are thinkin cancer?
Hopefully they will let me know the results as well on thursday, cuz the waiting is stressful.
Im not going to get worked up over this till i know for sure but the thought of going thru this again is scarin the heck out of me.
I havent said anything to my family...no need to worry them, and if it does turn out to be skin cancer im not sure i would tell them anyway cuz they all had a hard time with it the first time around...i guess it would depend on the treatment and if i can hide it or not?
Anyway anybody interested in riding the bus with me to the docs thursday...all the trouble makers in the back...thats were i will be...lol. You gotta have fun even in the darkest times...right!

    Yes I will be on the pink bus to help to keep you distracted! I make a mean chocolate chip cookie I would be happy to bring along.

    I am sorry to hear that you are having to deal with this, I know it is always such a scary thing no matter where we are in our fight. You are in my prayers and I will be on that bus!

    I'm right there with you, my dear! And, with even the worst news it could be...you know you have beaten it before, so you know you can beat it again!!! It's just like any fight...the well seasoned warrior has a much better chance because she can VISUALIZE victory!!!

    I don't know if 'it' is back .. but, I do know what stress
    can do to us externally, and internally. Skin cancer for what I know or read or researched, is not related to breast cancer. Maybe I am wrong. Cancer is Cancer, and I truly understand why you want to keep this private for the time being.

    Good point Vicki...i dont know anything about skin cancer and dont know if its mets from breast cancer or just a start of a possible new cancer? Guess i will find out.

    Thank you ladies for comin along with me wether you ride in the front or the back of the bus and if you bring goodies or not...although it wouldnt hurt...yummy!

    I want a seat in the back so I can bounce! Truly sorry for this latest development. I have never heard of BC metastisizing to the skin. Maybe your immune system is low and that is why the blisters will not heal?? Just a thought!

    Actually I make a horrible passenger so I might have to drive the bus. I hope you get good news on Thursday and then we can take that bus somewhere and celebrate!

    I want to go, too!! Jojo, I sure hope that this turns out to be anything but cancer. I have had a couple of areas on my skin that were pre-cancerous and they were either frozen or burned off in the docs office. I hope if that's your dx that it is also easily resolved. I'll be thinking about you. You have already had enough of this beast!! Take care.

    I certainly hope it's not cancer. I had trouble after treatment with cellulites on my lower leg and sores on my feet which took a long time to heal. The GP never figured out what caused them but first thing he checked for was diabetes. I didn't have that.

    As long as the bus will stop in San Francisco I absolutely will be on it. Please reserve me a seat. It stinks to get cancer once nevertheless to even think about getting it twice. I have a few song suggestions for the CD player/iPod: Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin; Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac; Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Jefferson Starship and Up by Shania Twain. It brings a smile to my face to think of all of us there on the bus for you.
