25 year Hodgkins diagnosis anniversary

Today, I celebrate my 25th year of the survivorship to Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I was diagnosed with Stage 1A (I know, early stage, but I still celebrate) in 1986 at the age of 11. While the journey to this point has been a long and difficult battle, I am happy to be alive!!

I would love to help anyone out there with their own battle; I can be a friendly ear to listen as you struggle with the ups and downs of treatment and recovery.

Thank you for sharing this information. It's always wonderful to hear from someone with long term remission. I have indolent follicular-NHL-stage3(no bone involvement)-grade2-typeA-diagnosed June 2010. I've finished my chemo-6 rounds of CVP-R and even though I didn't reach complete remission, I am considered stable. My cancer will come back, as is the nature of FNHL, but the Rituxan maint therapy is suppose to help keep it in remission for a (longer) periods of time, than not taking it. Time will tell! Once again..thank you for sharing your story with us. Those with the same kind of cancer as you will be delighted to hear about your 25 years of long term survival.
Best wishes for continued success..Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)
