Updated Path info

Just received the last path report. Oncologist appt not for three weeks. But, from what I have heard today, this is not bad. See what everyone thinks:

I have invasive ductal carcinoma; Stage 11, T2, and Grade 3. No lymph node involvement. I am estro/prog positive, and Her2 negative. From what I gather, I will be having some chemo and radiation along with some pill. I was told this combo was really treatable, even though it is Stage 11.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

    Hello!
I had the same as you but, stage 2, grade 2, and five lymph nodes involved! I had chemo, radiation, and now I take tamoxifen. I have done very well! There are many types of breast cancer and the treatments vary. I have heard of many stage 3 and 4 survivors. Just go along and do what is best for you. Remember, it is your body and study up. I read alot and got much info from my doctors and breast advocate. Wishing you the best!!! Keep us updated!!! Carlie

    Info Source
The American Cancer Society along with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network has a wonderful booklet out called Breast Cancer Treatment Guidelines for Patients. I went back to this book a lot during my treatment and still look at it when I can't remember what something means.
