I'm having a few lady friends over Monday morning for tea and coffee and we will discuss "Love" and what it really means to each of us. I've also printed some bible verses that speak of "Agape Love".

I made some flourless chocolate individual heart shaped cakes, and will serve strawberries and cool whip to go along with the chocolate cakes and dark chocolate heart shaped candies. I made heart shaped pink iridescent earrings for each gal and we will celebrate and enjoy each other's company as we share friendship and love.

So now I'm forced to get my butt in gear and do some dusting, straightening, and mopping. That is the downside, however an upside is that I have the energy to do it.

Hubby and I havent discussed if we will do anything, but that's ok because we have shared love and the ups and downs of life for 38 years. Happy Early Valentines Day to all my Loving Pink Sisters.

That sounds so wonderful! I wished I lived closer so I could join you.

Actually, I just got home from a "Chocolate Tea" with some very good friends. We had a great time and everything was chocolate from the scones, to the sandwiches, to the desserts and tea! We laughed and had a wonderful time. I really needed this after this past week.

Monday, Tom and I are driving to North Carolina to have Valentines Dinner at Duplin Winery, and then on to Myrtle Beach for a few days of nothing!

Love to all my Valentine sisters. ♥♥♥

xoxo,
Jean

I don't know, but, my hubby said it will be very special! And, knowing him, it will.

He asked me to be out of the house Monday afternoon and told me when I can come back. Who is he to tell me to leave and when to come back? Welllllllllllll..the love of my life! lol

So, it looks like it is going to be another adventure that I can't wait to share. Or, I hope I can. ( wink, wink )

My favorite.. I once begged my friend to take my leftover birthday
flourless chocolate cake, as I JUST KNEW what a danger it posed in
my apartment, beckoning, calling out to me.. luring me in..

Valentine's Day is the one "holiday" that doesn't interest me at all~ I find myself muting the onslaught of commercials designed to "guilt" men into buying diamonds or heart shaped boxes of chocolate and the like. I am not even sure WHY I feel this way; I am married to a loving, generous, romantic man who is crazy about me...but I feel positively nothing but discomfort about an actual day set aside to compel romanticism! It just seems so contrived~ I don't buy anything for Reggie and doubt he has anything for me. If he did, it would be a silly Hoops and YoYo talking card from the Hallmark store which would truly make me laugh~ I do adore Hoops and Yoyo! If Reggie asked if I wanted to go out to dinner, he already knows I would kindly decline...much nicer to just have us in the kitchen cooking dinner together and then watching an old movie or something. Now THAT'S romantic! Possibly I would light candles...LOL
So no...we have nothing planned!

But that's jut me!
Hugs,
Chen♥

My beau is the same....We have come to term it the "valentine's day masacre"....

He truly did not grow up with Valentine's day...only within the last few years have I seen a big deal made of it here in The Netherlands.

So, we don't try any more, after a number of fights and hurt feelings (mine) on this day. It's just not worth the hassle.

BIG non-valentine, expatriate hugs, Kathi

We talked a little about it and decided to go out for a nice lunch at some new restaurant--somewhere that we have never tried and skip the hassle of dinner reservations. I am so glad my sweet Dave is home with me right now and can actually eat out at lunch! He works overseas and is only home every other month so he got here in time for my first chemo and then will be here for my second one and then leaves 5 days later. He is being so sweet to me and has really stepped it up this month --we will celebrate 40 years of marriage in August. Can't believe that really!
Oh funny thing...he bought me a box of chocolate covered cherries--I know, I know ..lots of people hate them but I just love them, however he hid them in the house and my little dog discovered them while we were out and ate every last one of them!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to Everyone!
And I agree, I want to be at Natly's!

I join in on wanting to be at Natly's! How much room do you have Natly? LOL

And, Pink Pearl, I love chocolate covered cherries. My hubby always buys me some at Christmas and on Valentine's Day. YUM! Kind of a tradition!

We're going to a movie Monday and then a late dinner. Kind of like 2 Saturday nights in one week. LOL Can't wait!

Love going out and on a special day like Valentine's Day, it just makes it that much sweeter!

Have a great Valentine's Day sisters in pink!

by treating myself to a ballet tomorrow.

Since monday, I will be very busy first thing in the morning, it's time
for a lovely radioactive injection and then I get to spend 30-40 minutes
in a tube ( I have to admit, usually cursing under my breath), I think they
call this a PET scan (;

Then off to work and after meet my mortgage counselor to chase my
dream. So it's a pretty full day.

Hope you will all be showered with love in the form of chocolated, flowers
and Champagne in candle light!!

LOTSA love to all the kindred spirits on here!!

Hugs,
Ayse

Valentine's Day is not just another holiday, it is the one day that you can celebrate your love for each other. Ofcourse, you do this everyday, whether a holiday or not, but, this should be special.

We went out to eat last night at a darling restaurant. It was so nice to be out together and just enjoying each other's company, just talking and laughing.

My hubby had gotten me a dozen beautiful pink roses with one white one earlier in the day. Loved them and love him!

Hoping everyone has a great valentine's day!

Pete and I as well celebrated yesterday. Our daughter, Alexandra and her beau, Eric will be celebrating today, as Eric goes to College and works later Monday night. This is our daughters first 'real', or true ... Valentine's Day. I am enjoying every moment with Alexandra.

I choose to believe that Valentine's Day, is any day .. we share time, laughs and life together.

It is my daughter's birthday! So Valentine's Day has become more about her, and less about the obligatory romance. My husband and I will give each other cards and small gifts, and the whole family will go out to dinner. We'll give my daughter the family birthday gifts on Monday, and then she's having a party with her friends on the following Saturday. Plus my daughter's school is closed for a teacher work day.

Have fun everyone!

My husband made reservations awhile back for a very nice restaurant that is very hard to get into. So, I am thrilled!!!

I bought a really pretty angora red dress, so, I will be dressed for Valentine's Day!

He is hinting around that he got me a piece of jewelry, so, we will see. He always buys the greatest gifts for me. I love Valentine's Day!!!

Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, as I wrote earlier, my hubby had asked me to be gone for the afternoon on Valentine's Day and that he would call me when I could come home. So, what did I do? I went shopping with a couple of girlfriends and we had a blast! I bought him some presents and had them wrapped by a professional. They looked great! And, bought myself a really pretty outfit to wear that night and put it on at one of my girlfriend's house before I went home.

So, the call comes and I hurry home, anxious and excited! When I get home, my hubby had candles lit all over the sunroom and rose petals on the floor leading to the table that he had set with my good china. He even put out one of my good tablecloths and linen napkins. The table and the room were awesome and so romantic. It just looked beautiful!

He cooked steaks out ( yum ) and even made my famous twice baked potatoes with a fresh garden salad and dinner rolls. A bottle of good wine was chilling next to the table and I was thirsty and hungry! lol

We finished our dinner and then went into the family room to open our gifts. He had candles lit in there too and a fire in the fireplace. We sat by the fire as we opened every present and were both amazed! He had gotten me this absolutely beautiful pink stones and diamond bracelet! Not too big..just very delicate and so, so pretty!

He said he had one more surprise for me, and, he said we needed to go to our bedroom. I was like...uh huh..I know what this surprise is. lol When I walked into our bedroom, he had hung bunches of red hearts from the ceiling and on each and every one of them, it told a reason why he loved me! Can you believe it? Every red heart that I read, not only made me cry, but, touched my heart in a way that I didn't think possible. What an amazing gift! What a thoughtful and truly loving gift to me. I think it was the best one! Just don't tell him that. lol

So, this was another magical night, Valentine's Day, with the most loving, wonderful man that exists...my husband!
