Pleomorphic Liposarcoma Metastasis

My husband is 40 years old. He was diagnosed in 2008 with pleomorphic Liposarcoma. He has had several surgeries, radation and chemo. He currently has metastasis to the lungs, liver and ribs. I am looking for anyone else out there that is dealing with liposarcoma metastasis or has dealt with. I am aware that my husband's prognosis is not great but would like to talk to anyone that has had to deal with this type. Thank you. |

I am so sorry to hear of your husbands condition, my heart and prayers go out to him and you. My boyfriend found a large tumor in his upper right chest last August and has surgery to remove a very large pleomorphic Liposarcoma tumor. He then went through radiation, the tumor was gone and the mri looked good. We were told that if it came back a likely place may be in the spot of the first tumor or in the lungs. Early March he thought that he had a chest cold but really the sarcoma had metastasis to his lungs, he was in severe pain. The option now is for chemotherapy and right away. What have you learned about chemotherapy treatment and sarcoma?

I would love to hear from anyone that has had experience with liposarcoma that has matastasis to lungs and treatment. Thank you and keep the hope and faith.
