saw my onc, changing my meds up tumor markers went from 43 to 123 which is a concern to her so she wants to change my meds asap, starting "gemzar" on Tuesday its via IV drip, well through my power port. It's 3 weeks on 1 week off and I will still get the treatment in my head for the CF fluid cancer.

still getting a pet scan in early March and she OK'd me for my vacation :)

also was able to donate my $4000 worth of xeloda for a patient with no insurance so that makes me feel good!!!

still stiches but I'm feeling so much better about everything else!!!!!!!!!!!

It's great to hear your onc is on top of the situation and has started you on a new treatment program. I will pray this new regiment brings down your tumor markers.

How wonderful to hear you were able to donate Xeloda to someone in need. It must have made your heart smile.

Yeah for YOU! I am so happy to hear that you and your family will be going to Florida on vacation!!! This is a much deserved vacation and couldn't have come at a better time. I have never been to Florida, but I am sure it is a beautiful state. I am picturing you on the beach, lounging on a chair, with a fancy umbrella drink in hand, and Jackie O sunglasses! I am green with envy.

God bless.

I'm glad the news wasn't devastating. It's also really great that you were able to donate your meds to a needy patient. I felt good when I donated my emend and it wasn't worth near the amount your meds were. I'm so glad you made it home safely and that the temps are expected to get high enough to finally melt the ice off the roads by Saturday. Take care and please keep us updated.

HUGS!!!

Oh Dear Libby, shew for sure but whew, glad you get to go on vacation. Living in cold cold SD I would love to go to Florida so I'm coming with you :) In spirit that is. As for the Xeloda, bless your heart!! I'm praying I can get some help with mine because I know I wont have that money for it. Also I wanted to tell you, and I'm just saying, and maybe it's because it's triple negative, I'm not sure, but, my tumor markers were normal when the pt scan, MRI and bone biopsy found the cancer on my spine. Not sure why that is but my Onc said sometimes she doesn't even do tumor markers because they can send her on a wild goose chase and not find anything, and other times, there normal like mine were and cancer was growing. I don't get it, maybe I should do more research. So here's hoping/praying those markers are being a little crazier than any cancer and that you can get the beast into remission. Anyhow, I'm here with you and I'm so glad your Onc is on the ball and taking care of our Dear Libby!!

Yes getting it painted Ü not sure what color yet, now that the ICE storm of the century has passed I am going to drive around looking at houses and hopefully pick one!!!!!

Debby: I put a pic of my house on my expressions page go look and see what color you think would work!!! If ya want ;)

I just looked at your picture of your house Libby, and, with a brown roof, you are kind of limited. Also, the brick color doesn't give a lot of choices. Maybe, paint it the tan color or beige again and accent your trim and door with a pretty blue?

Cute house Libby! How about an antique yellow with white or cream trim? Or, the house taupe with dark green shutters and door?

What are you thinking the color should be?

I love houses that are painted differently. There are so many colors anymore to choose from. Mauve with cream colored shutters? Let us all know what you think you want.
