edited March 2014 in Lung Cancer #1
Hullo and again; Thank all of you for all your good thoughts and wishes. After living through the CAT I went to visit my Rad-Onco doc for the results> she saw a fuzzy mass in my upper chest. There are no spots or anything that suggests a tumor. Also she doesn't really know what the re-curring pain is, though when I don't go to the gym so much it doesn't bother me. She told me to maybe go fewer times a week to give the muscle a rest. Besides, she said I'm in pretty good shape anyway, but I told her there was a really cute guy who kept smiling at me and she said 'Then get his number already and take a break' hahahaha
Anyhow, my torture is not over yet because I have been congested due to the lousy weather and what-not. So I've got plenty of those little mucus families living in my lungs. I must take mucinex for a week! I am not fond of that stuff but I am less fond of not knowing if I am having cancer again. After that week I have a PET and we will go from there.
As to the mushathon they had the Doc around so she could tell me immediately the results. She said it was just breast tissue; no sign of a mass or tumor and to come back in a year! HA!
A word of warning: never have a CAT for your lungs while dealing with a cold or allergies!
I get the results Feb.10. yikes!

    Hi Medi,
    Hang in there!

    Hi Medi,
Hang in there! Your posts are always enlightening, humorous and filled with the truth of how one relates to this survivorship! I am happy to read that the "smush" results are great! I hope that your next tests come with great results.

And as a side note, do they really need to make those mucinex tablets so big? Yuk!

It sounds like great news, for the most part. Re the CT scan while ill, it was a lung infection that led my docs to say I had 10 months to live, so I agree wholeheartedly.

What we do about it, I don't know, but I DO know that every time I go to OncoMan, my worry now is not about cancer but about a mis-diagnosis :)

Best wishes for your next visit, medi.

    Take care, my friend,

    Scanxiety
Dear Pruney ... I mean Medi .. Back in Aug i was going through this anxiety thing and you gave me some great advice and i took it to heart and kept postive thoughts. I remember you saying your child was ready to have you commited the last time you had this anxiety thing. Glad to hear your squish test came out good and your scans will to. Wishing you the best.... Glad to hear of the good results from tyour mushathon. Wishing you the very best on your scan results too! Afraid I can't give much counsel on the gym situation. You could be like some gym rats and spend little time working out and much time observing. Who knows, maybe that cute guy wil take the jint -- if he is lucky!

Have a great day and best wishes always!

    not a gym rat
Haha! Nope, he is the one that is smiling! Actually I go to the gym to zone out and work out my problems and develop new great works of art in my head. And I believe in fate which to me means that things will happen in my life whether I want them to or not (like my ole pal cancer) ;). Thanks for the kind thoughts, results in February.
    Happy Thoughts!
