Anyone heard from Susan lately? Is she doing ok? She is still posting on FaceBook, but very sporadically.

    I spoke with her December 28th in regard to my starting Avastin. I knew she had been on Avastin in the past. She didn't mention what she was up to. I assumed she was well as she appears to have good responses to 2nd line treatments.

    Gosh I love the way you keep track of everyone...I see a Mother Duck herding all the ducklings making sure none have gone astray. Good luck in NYC. I lived for years at 48th and 3rd...wish I still did ... you could have stayed with me. Susan

    Susan....I wish you still lived there, too! I'm not planning to stay over this trip, but I'm worried about getting snowed in with no place to go!

    (Actually, I have in-laws who live an hour from Manhattan, so I won't be stranded out in the cold, even if they close the airport.....I hope. Do those commuter trains run, no matter what, or does the weather shut them down, too?}

    It drives me nuts when
    It drives me nuts when people hang out here for a long time, then....pfffft - they're gone. I worry that something might have happened to them, but I always hope that they are just out living their happy NED lives and are too busy to check in.

    I promise not to do that. If I disappear, you guys need to come looking for me. I put all my contact info in my profile.

    I agree, that is why when I took a break from posting I did a post letting folks know. I think I first saw LeesaG post a "taking a break". It does worry me when I see regular posters not posting or giving a heads' up that they are taking a break. Awww, the beauty of compassion and care. Susan

    commuter trains: depends on how bad a storm is. They are pretty hearty.

    Thank you for being so concerned; and I did make a post before I left that "I'd be gone a while" and "needed a break".

    I did take some cruises this year, and have truly enjoyed my almost 1 year remission! BUT:
    CA is climbing. On a normal being 17, I am at 91 now; but my Dr. tells me not to worry, as I am not symptomatic~ (no apparent symptoms at the moment). So will run the blood test again in 3 weeks, and then if it rises again, a probable CT or PET Scan.

    Hope everyone is well; forgive me for not checking in more often. Emotionally sometimes, I just can't take it.
