My beloved wife, Lisa Gray Hughes, passed away early this morning from cardiac failure. Please be assured that she knew how very much loved she was, and that her prayers will always be with all of her Kindred Spirits. I also want to thank you personally for your loving, caring support.

Joe, please accept my prayers, sympathy and hugs
Joe. I am sitting here at work crying. My heart skipped a beat when I read your post...I don't come to this discussion board that often, I mostly visit uterine cancer and grief and bereavement, having lost my mother to uterine cancer almost 2 yrs ago.
Words like sorry seem to be pale and paltry. I always enjoyed your posts, as you and Moopy went out of your way to encourage and support the other sisters in Pink. You don't realize this, but you and Moopy have left your mark here. Anyone who ever doubted true love only had to see your pics, read your posts. Thank you for that. I am angry and shocked and forgive me but I can't help wonder WTF happened. Did the drs. miss something on her scans, did the chemo put too much strain on her heart, was her cancer more advanced and aggressive then they let on... I just don't understand what happened. I will be thinking and praying and yes crying for a long time.
    Hugs,
    Cindy

Joe, this takes my breath away. I'm in utter shock. Joe, please know how very, very much we loved Lisa and you as well. There is nothing to say to take away any of this horrible pain. All I can say is to please, please find support. I care deeply about you and want you to be OK. Please continue to reach out if you can. We all love you.

Rest in peace, sweet, wonderful, Lisa. You inspired everyone around you.

I keep reading your words over and over...
...because I can't believe I haven't misread them somehow. I just don't understand how Moopy could go from arguing with the nurse over Emend yesterday to being gone today.

You and Lisa both have been sources of strength and wisdom and humor for so many of us, so many times -- please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do, anything you need from us.
