Cancer Survivor Network (CSN) is just like having another family, only here everyone understands what everyone else is going through. Whether it is through advice, prayer, thoughts, or just kind words, it is the needed support we all need to be survivors in this world of cancer. Remember that Cancer, Treatment and the Side effects we all have for life and the best way to find out what to expect is to ask someone who has been there.

To all who are going through treatment remember many of us have been there and will continue to be there for you.

To all who completed treatment or maybe you are a Caretaker, thank you for continuing to stay and give your support to the many others on this site who need you.

All the best to each of you in this New Year.

    So grateful
I have been so blessed by all the encouragement and support that I have received from all of you amazing and generous people. You have lifted me on some very dark days and for that I will always be grateful. Hope to give back a portion of what I have received. Praying for strength and health for all of you.

    Well Said
    Very well said Hondo....

Our family here know, care and understand how each other feel.

May everyone here on CSN and those not on but fighting the fight be given the award of NED.

    In a nutshell
Thanks Hondo, you said it all, we're all musketeers here. For some of us lucky ones here, CSN is not like another family, but like a family. The strong, honest people who paticipate provide all that you mentioned, and keep reminding us of the great lesson that cancer teaches us, humility.

    thanks to everyone, Hal

    Agree
I have no words of wisdom to add to what Hondo has already mentioned. I can only agree. I visit another site as well. I don't always post a reply, mainly because someone here has already replied with very good information.

I do stop in each day to view the posts. Like already mentioned, part of a family.

    My Best to Everyone Here

    Great Family
Hondo: I think you said this very well. Even though I have a very strong family that has supported me wonderfully through out my battle with cancer, This web site has been a inspiration to me. Not only have I learned many things that has helped me on CSN, I also feel for the others who are going through this terrible cancer, suffering the side effects from treatment, presently going through surgeries and treatment and those who have lost loved ones. This is truly a family to me and even though we do not know each other personally it feels like we have known each other forever. Being from North Carolina I would like to quote what the late Jim Valvano, North Carolina State basketball coach said during the final days of his life in a speech on ESPN. "Do not give up, Do never give up". Cancer may change our lives drastically and it may take our lives but it can never take our heart and it never can take our soul. God Bless all my friends on here.

    caretakers
    Hondo,
Thanks for including caretakers in your message. Sometimes I am not sure if I fit in here (since I am not the one going through the cancer) and many times I feel like I say the wrong thing, but will say this again - without this board and my new family on-line (you guys), me and my husband (tonsil cancer - finished treatment in Nov) would not have made it through as well as we did. All the help, encourgement, etc was amazing. It truly is a great family to be a part of!

and thhanks for reminding me to say thank you again!

    we have come full circle
Great words and sentiment behind those words, Hondo. I suppose that just as we were so reliant on our caretakers, we are now the caretakers to those that have come after us. Something poetic in that. God bless, and love you all. charles.

Don't sale yourself or caregivers short....you are very important.

When we don't have the drive, ambition, faith or perseverance to keep on pushing, you guys (gals), are there. You give us the encouragement (one way or another, LOL) to keep on pushing....

As said before, "When going through Hell, Keep going"....

You may nor be feeling the physical pain, but you are going through as much mental anguish as any of us are.

I thank you for being there....

    Best,
    John

    Hondo:

That was so beautifully said and you are so right. This network and all of you has been, is and always will continue to be a Godsend for me. All of you were encouraging during Charlie's remission and so comforting during his last bout and passing away. Thanks and God bless!

    Thanks one and all
This site and you folks maintained my sanity the first night of the day I found out about this crap and each time I've hit a roadblock and expressed it out here, I have received tons of answers and good advice. I'm just starting this journey and I'm with you for the duration. I actually look forward to getting out here now to see what's going on and to share my thoughts.

    Thanks to you Hondo!
I'm sure we all realize how great this site is. Not that any of us ever dreamt that we'd have to be on a site like this, but it's so nice to have met so many great people. Like you said they are either suffering from cancer or else survivors or caretakers. I was a caretaker so know what that's like. Anyhow, thanks for being who you are. I've enjoyed reading your posts. Saw my counselor for the last time ( I think) today. Been seeing her since April, one month after I lost my husband. It's helped me so much along with all of you on this site. don't worry, I'll still keep coming on here to see how all you guys are doing. I really am addicted to this site and have told so many people about all my "new" friends.
    Take care!! Carole

    Hi Everyone

If there is a pat on the back it is to all of you who are the support teammates of CSN.
Hal said it in a nut shell; we are All Musketeers because we are all on the same side and fighting the same battle.

I am glad to be a small part of that great team

    Dittos ...
    ... to what Hondo said.
Not only are we a family here, but we share something with every cancer survivor on the face of the planet.
It's pretty cool when you meet someone and find they're a cancer survivor. You immediately share a special bond.
Cancer: the gift that keeps on giving.
