Hello Everyone:

I apologize for not posting and commenting on your posts for the last week or so. I have been with Paul at hospice since last Tuesday. He is still hanging on but is slowly fading. My daughter was with me until yesterday. She had to go back to work and pick up her son from her soon-to-be ex-husband. She also was boarding (3) dogs in the kennel and needed to get them home so a friend could watch them when she returns. My son is with me at least until tomorrow. Paul is not giving up easy but now seems more peaceful (mostly because of drugs) than he has been this whole last week. I'm getting sleep at the hospice center but nurses come in and out during the night. Mentally I'm exhausted but I've accepted Paul's fate and I'm anxious for him and our whole family to find peace.

Please know that your thoughts and prayers have been much appreciated and have helped tremendously.

Thank you for all your support.

Skipper

    Prayers coming your way
    Skipper:

So glad to hear from you though not the news we'd hoped for. So glad you've accepted Paul's fate. Believe me I know it's not an easy thing to do. I'm right with you in this as I truly know how you are feeling and what you are going through. I hope that brings you some comfort as it did me when Charlie passed away. My favorite cousin and a very close friend have lost their husband/wife and talking with them is a comfort because I know they truly know what I'm going through. Stay strong and God bless you and Paul and your family.

    Peace be with you

Words are hard to express at this time skipper but my heart and my prayers are with you. My request to my wife is when that times comes for me not to let me suffer and not to keep me hanging on. I know that when I leave this world there is a better one awaiting me and one that I will wait for her to join me in. A place with no sickness, no cancer, and no pain

God bless and give you the strength you need each day

    Praying for your family.
Skipper I'm so sorry to read this. I guess I was hoping against hope that there would be some kind of major turn around. You and your husband are still in my prayers.
