    Don't know for sure,
but, have you tried the American Cancer Society, Red Cross, Salvation Army or your local church. If they don't have programs, they can direct you to the right place.

I am so sorry for your struggle. It's so much harder doing it alone.

Sincere thoughts and prayers for you,

    Sue

    Hi,
    I'm sorry you're going

    Hi,
I'm sorry you're going through breast cancer - although glad that you came to the boards here, it's a wonderful place for advice and support :)
I have 2 daughters also, ages 2 and 9, I know how hard it can be. Another suggestion would be to contact your local Susan G. Komen office. While they & the ACS don't provide assistance, they can help you find & apply for assistance that may be available in your area. Alot of times there are smaller local non-profits that can help out that you may not be aware of, hopefully they can help you find some.
    *hugs*

    The only places you might
The only places you might try contacting that hasn't been listed that I can think of is your National and State Senators and Representatives or Governor.

Just had another thought - are you (or your Husband) USA Veterans? If either are there might be some assistance for you, your 17 y/o daughter or even the older if she's still in school, through VA.

I am so sorry. It seems many on here have the same problem as you do. Contact the American Cancer Society. That would be a good first step.

    Good luck!

    call the American cancer society
I was able to qualify for a gas card to help with transportation to and from appointments. You could then direct your funds to other places.1-800-227-2345 or www.cancer.org also... in the front of most all phone books just before the blue pages is a list of community service agencies, Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul etc. If you have loans you may be surprised to find that some will let you skip a payment one time per year if you ask. Does your electric company let you average out your bill, taking your large winter bills and average them with the summer bills? these may seem obviouse but what about your local welfare and county health departent? even if someone can't help, always ask if they know anyone who can. often services are available but won't tell untill you ask. good luck & I'll keep you in my prayers.

    Cancer Societies
That is what they are there for though most of us don't use them for what we need thinkin we will get by we have always provided. I went in debt rather than ask for help and I do not advise that since there is truly so much out there that is never advertised.
I have read enough years of posts from the states that it is a falousy that Canadian health care for citizens is better because we have a whole lot here who can not afford to pay but still need care and I was single mother who had little help when a little would have gone along way...

    You might also try your
You might also try your treatment center. Mine has a social worker on staff to help with finding assistance, state disability, programs for children, etc.

I hope this helps and you find the relief you need.

    Merry Christmas!
