The cancer cells affinity for glucose is well known "The warburg effect". Every one says normal cells need glucose. My question is why cant we substiture with pyruvate?. Normal cells can use pyruvate in the Kreb/Citric acid cycle while cancer cells have deficient mitochondria and just convert pyruvate to lactic acid.
So here is my thought, please critique.
