I'm a healthy 48 year old woman who went for a routine hysterectomy (needed beacuse of fibriods and heavy bleeding) and came out with a live changing diaginosis of Leoimyosarcoma. The mass was removed during surgery, however, the GYN thought it was fine. The mass was 16cm in size and the pathology report said is was low grade. The GYN said it was "easy" to remove (not attached to anything). From my reading this means nothing. I have known this since Thursday (5 days ago) and have spent a ton of time on the internet researching. I found this site and read through some of the comments. Needless to say, I am terrified. I go to my First oncologist appointment this Friday. Any insight is welcomed.
