I am really afraid right now. When I went to the bathroom to urinate today, I am seeing pink. I have put a call into my doctor but I am just scared to death.

I am so sorry. I hate that
I am so sorry. I hate that feeling of ice water running through my veins and a sucker punch to the gut when "stuff" shows up. It is so demoralizing. Keep us posted. Susan

    Dear Linda,
last time I had blood in my urine was after they put the stent in my ureter. It bleed off and on for weeks. Then, one day it stopped. The initial sight of blood was very scary, though I remember very well. Once I had an explanation of what was going on and what they could do to stop it, I was able to focus, and not let my emotions carry me away. Fear escalates when it is all "unknown" right? Hopfully, your doc will check you out, and help you figure it out.

As the other gals mentioned, I have heard that with chemo you can get blood in the urine, and i would think that since doxil is red, that it might come through red? Hmmmmmm just a thought.

    Praying for you today,
    kathleen

The Doxil mfg. info says Doxil can make your urine pink/orange.
The Doxil website says that Doxil can color your urine pink or orange after an infusion. ((((Hugs))))

    Thanks for all your support
Update: When I put in the call to my doctor I got his nurse. She told me yesterday that she would talk with the doctor and told me not to worry and that she promised me she would get back with me before she left the office for the day. I never heard from them.

I think I might be okay. Nancy it quit and I haven't seen anything more. Just like it went away.

Thank you for all the support. I just freak out when something happens. I am so glad that I found this board and have all of you to talk to.

It bothers me that my doctor's office didn't call back... but maybe she was busy. I know that around holiday time everyone starts scrambling around.

Really Glad to hear. While I understand drs office get busy, holidays and all...I've always wished they were more realistic about when they project a call back..I'm sure it would save them alot of angry feedback about not returning calls when they said they would and us sitting on pins and needles waiting for the call back. Or a bombardment of end of the day calls "I haven't heard back yet" I've been there if I was told I would get a call back. If they expanded the call back window a little more realistically we could be pleasantly surprised when they called a little sooner than projected. I was thinking the other day how horrific it must have been for our early OvCa sisters before cell phones and internet discussion boards. Those poor women who had to suffer so alone or be anchored literally hours or days by a landline for a call that they didn't want to miss. Their sheer bravery and tenacity brings me to my knees.
