I had written about the horrendous headaches I started getting this past Friday. Dex was all that would knock it out and it would stay gone for approx. 36 hrs. My PA happened to be at the Retreat I went to this weekend so I was able to talk with her. Blood work was done Mon. morn and the only thing that showed negative was my potassium levels were low (nothing new). This morn I had a PET scan and I just got a call from Jan (my PA) - there is absolutely no mets to anywhere! YEAH! Now we have to find out the cause of the pain/pressure around/behind eye. The 2 things that did show up were that the gall bladder sludge (yes - that is a real medical term) is now stones but not bothering me at all so that's something to deal with when/IF it becomes an issue. Also have some axillary fluid - but we can take care of that too.

Do have to figure out the head pain but we'll do that.

NO METS!

    Thanks All!
When my PA gets on a roll, she gets 'things' happening. As I said, I saw her at the Retreat and Mon I had blood work done (have to get my fasting blood tomorrow morn for my annual), had PET scan today and she put in after she had the results of PET for an eye Dr appt. It's really 'after hours' now but I just got a call for an 8:45 Mon eye appt. Oh by the way - this is through VA - PET was outsourced.

    That is really
good news. At least you have that off your mind so you can concentrate on the other "smaller" problems. Hopefully you will get an answer to your headache problem soom.

news. Worrying about possible mets could have worsened the headaches. Good luck getting rid of the headaches.

    Wonderful news!!!
Heachaches started just about a week ago. Perhaps they will go away on it's own. My mom had an horrendous headache for weeks...it ended up being an infection. Or could yours be allergies? I don't know...just thoughts.
    Hugs to you,
    Annette

wonderful news. No mets, yah! I too have sludge in the gallbladder. Nothing to worry about yet as it causes no pain. I had my 5th chemo on Tuesday and mentioned to my onc that I was having some eye twitching and tearing and he said it's totally normal. I was wondering about the low potassium too. I'll have to get a handle on that. Hoping your headaches go away but for now celebrate!
