I found out on October 18th that I have Thyroid Cancer. Right now it appears to be Papillary Cancer from the Cytology Report. I know that this is the best type to have if if you are going to have Thyroid Cancer so I am "lucky". I am scheduled to have my Thyroidectomy tomorrow but I have been stuggling for about a month with on and off blurry vision. I would also at times say that I feel like I have partial brain fog and feel lightheaded. I am wondering if anyone had blurry vision pre-thyroidectomy and if it went away after? Also is it fair to say at this point that they suspect it is Papillary Cancer and it could come back something different during the frozen section procedure while the surgery is taking place. No one has mentioned a stage or anything so I am assuming the staging will happen when the final Cytology Report or Pathology report is completed from the surgery. I am also scheduled to have a central neck dissection "CND" and I am wondering from anyone's experience if they can tell from the thyroidectomy and CND if it has spread to the lymph nodes? Thanks for taking the time to answer.
