What happens now?

Hello Everyone,

It has been a long time since I have posted because quite frankly it has just been too hard to read all the blogs of where we were and where we are now. My husband was diagnosed on 6/1/2009 with tonsil SCC stage IV. He has been in treatment ever since and it just keeps spreading. Now it is in the liver, lungs, bones. He just battled pneumonia and is home from the hospital somewhat recovering. In all he has had five different chemos as well as 35rads. He is feeling better for now. His oncologist wants to start more chemo ASAP to control any possible symptons but he has had enough and doesn't want anymore chemo for now. So my question is, what will happen now. Will he deteriorate quickly? He said he wanted to go through the holidays first and then he will decide if he is going to do more treatment. If you have had any experience with this please let me know your thoughts. Keeping the faith, Donna

I am sorry to hear what you are going through. Although, I don't have any experience that can help you, I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during these difficult times.

    No Experience Here
    Donna,

But I do have well wishes. Hope he holds up well during the holidays, and has a change of heart regarding chemo. Know what you mean about where you were vs. where you are. I remember when I was new here, and loved your hopeful, upbeat posts. Am glad you updated us, even if it's not the news we'd like. Hoping for strength for you both.

    Thinking of You
    Donna,

I wanted to take a minute and let you know that I'm thinking of you. I try to keep up with your blog - I read today's post and wanted to let you know you and your family are in our prayers. It's a rough path that you're on but you're doing it with grace. Keep making as many happy memories as possible and know that you are not alone.
