New member????

Just wondering if anyone else has had a new member??? add them as their friend. It just strikes me as a little suspicious that I would get this request on the same day that someone posted spam on every forum. The person who added me as their friend has never posted on either of the forums I frequent and has not filled in any info on their profile page.

    I hate being so suspicious and don't want to hurt a new members feelings but it just seemed odd that on the same day someone spammed every forum I get this request. I still can't believe there are people who are so sick that they get their kicks by spamming a cancer website. This forum is a life line for so many of us.

    Glenna, I could not agree more.
    Years ago I worked of CIS (Cancer Information Services) It was a part of NIH (National Institute of Health). It was a phone in service to get cancer information and it was a tremendous service before the internet was in every home. We used to get the caller who would inquire about the self exam for breat cancer, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. It was thier way of getting some of thier jollies, so to speak. Sad but true.
    1.800.4CANCER. I imagine it is still up and running.
