    This is Iowa
University of Iowa claims to have the 2nd-best H&N center in the US. Whether or not this is fact- no, it is just their opinion. Can tell you that from the experience of a co-worker's stepdad- hard to imagine a med team more dedicated to the patient than the Drs. and Nurses, there. Heard they've also got a place where family members can stay, but do not know that for fact. Living in the midwest, I would choose the U of I over Mayo's, or any other place.

    wishing you well
I can't give any info on surgeons, but If you need more suggestions for surgeons, you can also try the OCF website at http://oralcancerfoundation.org/forum/index.htm . That website also has many people with a wide range of cancer experiences.
