Mostly good news

Hi all,
I am now home from my ortho Dr visit. He said that my shoulder is almost back to normal. Hooray... It's been a long and difficult journey to get to this point in time. But I am there. He said that I could do just a little strength training, not to hard or to much, LOL, like I could do any more than that right now. LOL. So this is some good news for me.
Now for the not so good news. We talked a lot about my up coming rads. I asked if they would have any effect on my shoulder. I thought it was a silly question, and he would tell me that. But , turns out that rads do mess with healing and scar tissue. He did feel that I was enough months out from surgery that if I had any problems they should be less severe. I hope so... So for now, I am feeling positive about the shoulder and a little concerned about the rads in Nov.
The weeks are passing by so fast, it felt like I had a long time to wait. Now it is much closer and the nerves are kickin in again..
Thanks for letting me go on and on...Sometimes I just need to get it out of my system. You guys are all so great...
I did tell my hubby the good news about the shoulder, but not the not so good news. I really don't want to overload him right now. So, I guess I am just going to share it all with you...
Peaceful healing all...
Lisha

Hi Lisha,
Thanks for sharing. I especially know what you are going through since I also had shoulder problems all last year and still am. I wish my rotator surgery had healed properly, but I guess it was not to be. I still try to work the arm a bit each day , trying to maintain the mobility I do have...40% is better than none..eh? You have so much on your plate with 2 cancers and the shoulder and your mother-in-law..etc! Yes...November will be here before we know it, but look at it this way...at least the waiting will be over and you can move forward to getting these cancers in remission. Don't wait too long to talk with your hubby...they are stronger than we give them credit for. His plate has been full also with worrying about both you and his mother...God bless you all...what a time it has been. I'll keep good positive thoughts for you and anytime you need to vent...ye old "night owl" is usually lurking around...ha! Last night it was well after 2 a.m befor the ZZZZZ's finally came...UGH! Feelin pretty good today...Vinny's news really inspired me and lifted my spirits. My pie is cooked and looks so yummy! Hubby will be pleased! Hang in there Lisha!
Love...Sue
