this appears to be the end of the road for me. the big turn around happened back in July when i checked into ER with an obstruction. yes, it was an obstruction caused by cancer of the omentum which is strangling my intestinal tract. i also have kidney failure so i've decided only to have fluid removed during dialysis no more pills for anything that would rebuild my blood. i'm just going to let nature takes it course. i love you all.

My thoughts, my tears, my heartfelt sorrow will follow you. A choice at one time another, we must all make, because of cancer or not.
My father-in-law chose not to do dialysis, and we agreed with him, but they did not give him enough pain medication, and he did suffer.
I am glad that you have chosen dialysis though, without it, you would have at the most seven days, and that is much to short a time. I hope you have many days of enjoyment left to fill your soul.
My prayers, my thoughts, my tears are with you.
    Love to you hun.

    What a difficult decision
What a difficult decision that must have been. I hope you much success in dialysis and your remaining time be filled with blessings.

    Hey Ed....

I'm not going to let you off that easy. As long as you can draw a breath,
you can damned well draw another shot at life. Like that blade of grass
that insists on growing between the cracks of a busy highway, you can
do as well, if not better.

I can fully understand why so many give up rather than continue
chemotherapy treatments and/or radiation, after enduring all the
damage from those "remedies". But I can not for the life of me,
understand anyone refusing to even try an alternative science
    in an attempt to live.

The alternatives do not cause pain, suffering, or impaired immune
systems; they do not cause severe neurological problems, or
    cause second cancers.

Read my "blog" if you care to; there is no reason to throw in the
    towel yet.

There are a lot of "quack medicines" out there, claiming "alternative"
ways to heal....... But there are also ways that have proven themselves
for thousands of years for billions and billions of individuals, that
remains being practiced today very successfully in other countries.

You're way too young to quit, so please, for $^%*($% sakes,
don't quit due to lack of knowledge; there are other means to stay alive
that are there waiting for you.

Read, and take the time to explore and understand.

It ain't "over" yet; it does not have to be.

    I'm pulling for you.

    thank you
thank you for all your responses. all i know is nothing medically can be performed due to we've exhausted all possibilities. you see, due to kidney failure my choices are limited in the type of chemo cocktail my body can take. i can becomes very toxic on some of the drugs that a stage IV patient would usually take at this time and or let me just say there are only somewhat of 4 or 5 combinations of drugs that were ok to attempt to try.

John i have tried Pardarco Tea (sp) noticed a significant calming effect. mostly one of the out of the realm treatments i've been doing and i actually do believe it has put this nasty disease at bay for a while and that was using my dry inferred sauna on a continuous basis. you know i always feel better after an hour + session. i've learned and studied through the years that in China or is is Japan hmmmm, one or the other---well they use the sauna in place of dialysis in the first phases of kidney failure and ironically when they were studying these folks there were a few with colon cancer tumor and that tumor during dialysis treatments would shrink. it appears the heat of the inferred kills the unhealthy cancer cells and the healthy cells are strong enough to survive. so, bottom line i do believe this particular therapy extended my life and maybe was a big part in me becoming cancer free at one point.

    Ed -

There is a time for tea, and a time to try much stronger medicinal
strength herbal broths; I think your time for tea is over.

There are TCM physicians in your area, and since it can't hurt you
more than you're already hurting, and since western medicine's
apparently given up on you.... isn't it worth a shot? Have you
    got anything more to lose?

Even if you choose not to play with a thousands of years old
science...... there is a chemical substance that is well documented,
but not "FDA Approved" in this Nation.

It's called: Hydrazine Sulfate and can be bought on-line through
reputable companies. It's an MAOI, and requires a fairly strict
diet, and an almost total absence of other medications.
See: The Syracuse Cancer Research Institute

Just as "Buzzard" feels, so do I.... you have a right to choose your
own destiny; your own life or death.

I just really, really hate to see you choose death so soon, Ed.

It's just so damned final, ya'know?

    Best thoughts to you.

    John

Ed, so sorry for your news and
I checked out your CSN profile and hope you don't mind but this passage resonated for me. Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself with all of us. May you have a peaceful journey.

    "setting an example
i'm asked sometimes just what did i do to deserve such a trying disease. my stock answer is maybe i'm just here and going through this so as to set an example for others that you just don't fold up the tent so to speak when times get rough. you buckle up and give it everything you have and maybe just maybe someone around you during this experience will take notice and set the same examples in there life. never ever give up!"

    all the best, Leslie

    NO!
@Ed: NO, NO, NO and NO! I don't accept that you give up! NO! Like John said, try everything. I know this sounds harsh (please don't take it that way, but): if you die, you die anyway, eh? Then why don't you die in a way that you tried EVERYTHING! Seriously! Maybe chemo is not good anymore for you...but there are alternate methods, and I can see you are into them. But don't give up! I don't know much about US and FDA regulations in general, but in my country it is illegal, but do-able (if you want to do it) such as get:
    1. B17 (or Laetrile)
    2. DCA (dichloro-acetic-acid)

Please check into these! I gave them to my Mom too. I am not saying this will for sure make you healthy and happy, but may give you more time, and maybe even a "nicer" way to leave. Please don't give up that easily! We ALL need you! Thinking of you, and crossing all my existing fingers for you (including my toes)!
